Chair

Sir Charles Walker KBE brings extensive experience in public service, governance and communications. He served as Member of Parliament for Broxbourne from 2005 to 2024 and held senior parliamentary roles including Chair of the House of Commons Procedure Committee and Chair of the Administration Committee. He was appointed KBE in 2019 for political and public service. 

Before entering Parliament, he built a career in marketing and communications, including board level experience at Blue Arrow. He now works across the charitable sector as a trustee and adviser, bringing a strong interest in effective governance, charitable impact and public engagement.

Trustee

Tanya Joseph is a communications leader and experienced non-executive director with expertise spanning sport, gender equality, the arts and the charitable sector. She is known for leading the award winning This Girl Can campaign, which inspired millions of women and girls to become more active. 

She currently chairs the London Handel Society and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, and contributes to cultural and sporting organisations through a range of board and advisory roles. She brings deep experience in public engagement, social impact and inclusive leadership. 

Trustee

Simon Fourmy has more than 25 years of experience in the trusts and foundations sector, with a background in philanthropy, funding strategy and governance. Since 2018, he has worked with Sir Hans Rausing and the Trustee Board to support the development and delivery of The Julia Rausing Trust’s philanthropic work.

He previously held senior roles at the Wolfson Foundation and the Rothschild Foundation, and also managed development of The Illuminated River, a major public art project in London. He brings strong expertise in charitable leadership, grant making and organisational stewardship.

Matt Ridsdale is Group Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Sky, with responsibility for communications, stakeholder engagement and public affairs across Europe. His work spans corporate communications, policy, consumer engagement and Sky’s social impact programme, Bigger Picture. 

Before joining Sky, he was Executive Director at Camelot, where he led corporate affairs and marketing, and earlier in his career worked in corporate and financial communications consultancy. He brings experience in reputation, public engagement and strategic leadership.

Trustee

Phil Edgar Jones OBE is a senior television executive and commissioner with extensive experience across entertainment, documentary and arts broadcasting. He is Executive Director of Unscripted at Sky and previously served for a decade as Director of Sky Arts, where he helped broaden access to the arts and led the channel’s move to free to air in 2020. 

He joined Sky in 2012 as Head of Entertainment and has commissioned programmes across popular culture, music, theatre and visual arts. Earlier in his career, he held senior creative roles in independent production, including at Endemol UK. He was awarded an OBE in 2023 for services to the arts and television.
